  • Likely analog if TV is 10 years or older
  • Likely analog if TV shape is square and NOT rectangular

Options if you don't have a digital TV

  • Buy a digital TV that has a digital tuner
  • Buy a digital to analog converter
    • Make sure your antenna receives UHF, see UHF section
  • Sign up for a subscription TV service that still offers analog programming

Warning

You may have a TV that is digital ready, but does NOT have a digital tuner, meaning it can NOT decode and display a digital signal from an antenna. These TVs where prevalent in the beginning of the digital TV movement. You must have a cable box, satellite receiver or some other device to use these TVs. So make sure your TV is digital and HAS a digital tuner.
